Multifocal breast cancer elastography

Elastography is an ultrasonographic technology that allows to discriminate between soft (blue), intermediate (green) and hard tissues (red). Malignant breast masses are most often hard (red).

In this case, the patient had two masses diagnosed as invasive ductal carcinoma (no special type). They were located in the same quadrant of the same breast. This condition is defined as multifocality.
